In Deadwood Revival's most-recent configuration, Kim Trenerry, Jason Mogi, and Paul Stehr-Green delivered that unique and unmistakable DwR sound...featuring powerhouse vocal harmonies (sometimes in 3-parts) on top of Jason's clawhammer banjo, acoustic & electric guitar (taking most of the instrumental leads), and his self-made stomp-board, Kim’s driving rhythms on acoustic guitar, and Paul’s super-fat bass grooves.
At this point, however, DwR is on an indefinite hiatus while Kim pursues a different career path and Jason ramps up his burgeoning banjo-building business. So, we’re not sure when, or even if, we will be back as Deadwood Revival...but we’ll be sure to let everyone know if/when we’re ready to book gigs again.
In the meantime, Jason and Paul have joined forces with the master of the bodhrán, Colin Leahy, to form Joy in Mudville. Together, we play a unique mix of old-time/jam-band/rock/Celtic/funk-influenced originals (many drawn from the DwR and Tongue & Groove catalogs) and covers.
